The Brewster Connection

Jane Hutchinson Pendley was a direct line descendant of Elder William Brewster, spiritual leader of the pilgrims who came to this country on the ship Mayflower. Her linage to Brewster is documented by a letter from The Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of New York dated November 11, 1905 which was written to Miss Kate Thomas, who in our family is well known as "Aunt Kate", who raised Jane after her mother died when she was seven.
